Wizards

On a post-apocalyptic Earth, A wizard and his faire folk comrades fight an evil wizard who's using technology in his bid for conquest.

Wizards

Wizards

In a post apocalyptic future that appears as a blend of World War II Europe and J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, a pint-size wizard named Avatar must save the world from a band of fascist mutants controlled by his evil twin brother, Blackwolf, who likes to confuse enemy armies by projecting films of Adolf Hitler speeches during attacks. Painted live-action footage of advancing Nazi armies contrasts with Saturday-morning-cartoon-style animation of fairies and elves as Avatar travels through various magical and radioactive realms on his quest. Aiding him are a sexually promiscuous fair! y queen, a hot-blooded warrior elf and Peace, a misunderstood robot rebelling against his Blackwolf-controlled programming. A bizarre and psychedelic meditation on magic vs. technology, this ultimate futuristic fantastic epic cult film still finds an audience on college campuses and will prove quite rewarding to viewers in the right frame of mind. Written by Anthony Pereyra {hypersonic91@yahoo.com}

He seeks to rediscover the ancient technologies of warfare and destruction in order to gain his revenge and subjugate the free peoples of the! earth. Blackwolf's disastrous attempts to assassinate his brother compell Avatar to marshal forces against Blackwolf, leading to the ultimate confrontation. Written by Doug Ferrar <DAFerrar@ix.netcom.com>

No baby daddies, no bad credit, no car, no pot bellies, and no living with your mama will get you NO ENTRY. To be in the presence of ! these women you have to be able to give them whatever they need. It is the grand opening and Vivian is as grand as she can be. She has it all except her own man. And for her traditional and powerfully wealthy father, Theodore Wolf, this is unacceptable. In town to celebrate Vivian's fortieth birthday, Theodore discovers his financial contribution to Vivian's business ventures has turned into a social club for dating. He doesn't agree with her elitist approach to relationships. This isn't what he expected from his oldest daughter. Her time is running out and so is his patience. She has embarrassed him and the family's name and now he demands change. The only problem is... These two wolves ain't afraid to howl. Question is... Which one will be the first to bite? Meanwhile, Tracy Jamison, Vivian's more reformed younger sister and her hubby Carlos, have sought refuge in Vivian's home. Tracy and Carlos have fallen on hard times and for Vivian this is all the proof she needs as t! o why her "Whatever She Wants" social club will prevent her fr! om strug gling through a pointless marriage. She wants happiness without the fight, so she instead fights with Tracy and her husband. She ridicules Carlos for putting his dreams before his wife and convinces Tracy she doesn't have to suffer with a minimum wage brother. Enough is enough. Carlos wants to get away from it all and demands Tracy decide if she's married to him or to her sister. Not sure what to do, Tracy ventures out and finds herself in the arms of another man who promises to give her "Whatever She Wants". But she's not the only one making a love connection. The close hearted Vivian who has yet to find the man she wants finally meets her match. Even the men who pass her prescreening qualification detector and are allowed into her club are not into her heart. That is until Julian Heaven breaks it in. Julian is every woman's fantasy. He's stunning, sexy, charming, and legit. He catches Vivian hook, line and sinker and it doesn't take much to reel her in. But this fish might! not make it to the frying pan as things start to heat up in the kitchen. It all boils over when Vivian's joy ride with Julian comes to a crashing end. Vivian's fantasy world crumbles into the harsh reality that whatever she wants just might not be what she gets. Witness the power, laughter, strength and honesty as Vivian searches for the perfect man who just may not come in the perfect box. Whatever She Wants is the story about one woman's determination to rediscover who she really is... Written by Reshonda Tate

The Doors

The story of the famous and influential 1960's rock band and its lead singer and composer, Jim Morrison.

The Doors

The Doors

Oliver Stone's homage to 60's rock group The Doors also doubles as a biography of the group's late singer, the "Electric Poet" Jim Morrison. The movie follows Morrison from his days as a film student in Los Angeles to his death in Paris in 1971, at the age of 27. The movies features a tour- de-force performance by Val Kilmer, who not only looks like Jim Morrison's long-lost twin brother, but also sounds so much like him that he did much of his own singing. It has been written that even the surviving Doors had trouble distinguishing Kilmer's vocals from Morrison's originals. Written by Denise P.! Meyer <dpm1@cornell.edu>

Meeting each other in UCLA Film School in 1965, Ray Manzarek, "the musician", suggests to Jim Morrison, "the poet", that they form a band. With Robby Krieger and John Densmore, that band would become The Doors. Although the foundation of the group was based on consensus, Robby and John in particular increasingly see front man Jim's on-stage performances self-indulgent - albeit undeniably charismatic - to his controversial lyrics. His on-stage antics are fueled in large part by excessive drug use. Outsiders begin seeing Jim as The Doors. It is that charisma that gets them a record deal with Elektra, and resulting fame. Despite his popularity with the record buying public, Jim continually has run-ins with those in authority for his anti-establishment behavior. With him and the band through it all is Jim's longtime girlfriend, Pamela Courson. Theirs is a rocky relationship, primarily over Jim's open infidelity - in! cluding with reporter Patricia Kennealy - and drug-induced err! atic beh avior. Written by Huggo
